#livingontheedge with fritz-kola – The world is bigger than your screen

How do you raise awareness for social problems, such as homelessness, among a young, fun-loving generation? Especially when their own world often ends at the edge of their smartphone screen? The answer: By bringing reality to Instagram!

We reinterpreted popular hashtags, including #wokeuplikethis or #foodporn, from the perspective of a homeless person. This socially critical content took over fritz-kola's Instagram stories, with no comments for three days. An action film concluded the takeover and started an emotional discussion that was supported by targeted social advertising. Digital OOH displays generated additional awareness. The focal point was an informative campaign page with additional information.

Ultimately, 5.4 million people were reached, generating three million video views and 20,000 reactions. Even better than that: We generated a huge amount of awareness for the homeless.

Home is where the heart is –
DB Fernverkehr

Using an influencer campaign, Deutsche Bahn wanted to reach a target audience of 14 to 27-year-old females who don't often use public transport. At the same time, DB wanted to highlight sustainability, with a focus on green energy. The Herzstück Heimat (Home is where the heart is) IGTV campaign was built around how we all have fond childhood memories of certain places that are linked to exciting experiences or special moments in life. Three influencers who combined an advocacy of sustainability issues with close ties to their home regions took us on a journey to their home towns.

BARMER's smoking prevention campaign #doitforeveryone

Smoking is a leading health problem in Germany, even though people have been warned about the risks for decades. BARMER took action and revealed an uncomfortable truth: smokers are destroying the planet! Their addiction supports deforestation, pollution of the oceans and CO2 emissions. The #TuEsFürAlle (#DoItForEveryone) campaign confronted smokers with these facts – and was able to help half of them quit the bad habit.

DEKA – Save it for later

The biggest competition for financial service providers isn't their rivals and their products, it's irrational behaviour and extravagant spending. Our challenge was to provide emotional access to the gut feeling of not dealing with your own money very well and to digitally mobilize the alternative (a low-risk investment with DEKA).

The campaign was continually optimized based on data, with the images, messaging, targeting and channels being adjusted and changed throughout the duration of the campaign. By doing this, we managed to achieve maximum impact at the same time as gaining awareness.
